This upcycled wine bottle soy candle is a perfect gift for the wine lover or foodie in your life! Each hand-cut, hand-poured wine bottle candle upcycles an empty bottle. After the bottle is cut, the edges are carefully sanded down until smooth.  Each natural soy candle is hand-poured in small batches and highly scented with high quality fragrance oils.   Natural soy candle burns cleanly with a lead-free wick. 

Due to the individual, handmade nature of this item, no two wine bottle candles are the same. Please expect variations in glass color and slight imperfections in edges at times. We do not see these at flaws but as beauty marks of being lovingly handmade one at a time.  

Our candles are all natural-hand poured-highest quality soy-vegan-lead free wicks- infused with the highest quality fragrance oils.

TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING:

As these candles are made from wine bottles, their shape, and shade of colour can vary. Most will have a domed base, called a punt meaning the candle can only burn down this far, leaving a small amount of wax around the dome. To accommodate the different types of wine bottles, we pour some candles higher than others, to ensure all candles have a 50+ hour burn time.

DIRECTIONS:

Always trim wicks to 0.5 cm before lighting. The first time you light your candle, let it burn for 3-4 hours to allow the melted wax to reach the edge of the container to prevent your candle from tunneling.

CANDLE SAFETY:

Do not place a burning candle near clothing, books, curtains or anything flammable. Place candle holders on a stable, heat-resistant surface that is sturdy and large enough to catch any melted wax. Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans and any air currents. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep or if the flame gets too close to the candle holder or container. A candle should not be burned for more than four hours at a time. 

Our products are created in small sized batches to keep them fresh - if we are out of stock it could take 5-7 days for stock to be made, or 6 weeks if it is a cold process soap.

SERVICES EXPLAINED:

• We send our parcels out with PUDO, a division of Courier Guy, or PAXI, which is part of PEP.
• With both these companies we transport the parcels to either Preller Walk Courier Guy (a PUDO locker close to us) or to our closest PEP store.
• If we get the order to PUDO before 15:00 Monday - Thursday, and you are located in a main area (e.g. JHB/CPN), you should have it by the next day. However, courier to PE/Durban etc. will take 2-3 days. With PAXI it will take between 7-10 days to reach you - if you choose this service. 
  • We don't send out any parcels on a Friday with PUDO, as they do not deliver on a Saturday, and we prefer to not have your parcel in their depots waiting for Monday - we will rather take it to them on Monday. 

Once orders are placed, our Shopify system will send you a WhatsApp to confirm your order. Once we have fulfilled your order, you will receive an automatic email via our system. Charlene is responsible for packing and sending all orders out. She will in contact with you from the beginning to the end. You are also welcome to contact her on 084 3925 1365.

• Once order fulfillment is done, you will receive another email notification from the system - Charlene will also send you a WA to give you the PUDO Locker code and password, and PEP will send you a SMS - please look out for these. Charlene will also send you the PEP tracking number.

SURCHARGES:

• HIGH-RISK ZONES: These areas are considered unsafe for couriers to travel and a surcharge (over and above the shipping cost) is applied. An invoice will be sent prior to dispatch should you reside in a "high-risk" considered area. Please use this link to check - type the word "SURCHARGE" in the search box and scroll for your area. 
• OUTLYING AREAS: These are areas that fall outside of the main delivery centers. An additional surcharge of up to R250 may apply for outlying areas. An invoice will be sent to you for payment prior to dispatch.

HIGH-RISK ZONES/POLICE STATION DELIVERIES:

• Due to high rate theft and hijackings, some areas are deemed as "hotspots/high-risk-zones" by our courier partners, and will only be serviced to the local police station and you will be required to collect your order at the police station as opposed to getting a typical door-to-door delivery.
• If you reside in a high risk area, you will get a telephone call from the Courier ON THE DAY OF DELIVERY to arrange a police station pick up. Unfortunately we have no knowledge before hand, and therefore we do not have control over this. We apologize in advance for this inconvenience.
• Should you not be able to collect from the police station , please feel free to return the parcel to us - we will refund the value of the products, but not the cost of shipping or return.
