The wicks we use are 100% from hemp. Hemp wicks are produced by working hemp fibers into twine and then coating it with beeswax. The hemp wicks provide a hotter burning wick, are lead and zinc free and produce little to no smoke. Your candles will last longer and the burning experience will be much more pleasant. Hemp wicks are environmentally sustainable and are a renewable resource

Why use our natural Soy Wax Candles?

• Soy wax is derived from natural vegetable oils, while paraffin is a refined gasoline by-product.
• Soy candles burn clean with no toxins, carcinogens or pollutants and no petrolium-carbon soot.
• Soy wax burns cooler, meaning it will generally last 30-50% longer than a paraffin candle.
• Soy wax can be used directly on the skin as a moisturiser or as a massage oil (provided essential oil levels are not too high).
• Soy candles release their fragrance more readily than paraffin wax, and we only use the highest quality, completely pure, natural essential oils to fragrance our soy candles.
• Soy candles burn evenly, as opposed to many paraffin candles which tend to burn down the middle of the candle around the wick, resulting in a huge wastage of wax and a limited life span for the candle.
• Soy wax is completely biodegradable.
• A Soy wax spill cleans up simply with soap and water, while paraffin wax spills are very difficult to deal with.
• Containers can be easily re-used by simply washing out the remaining soy wax with soap and water, or putting in the dishwasher.

Our candles are hand-poured using 100% soy wax, pure hemp wicks and the finest essential oils. Housed in minimalistic jars (with lids), the design is subtle and sleek in looks but creates a celebration of beautiful scents.

HOW TO USE A PAMPER CANDLE?

CANDLE SAFETY:

Always trim wicks to 0.5 cm before lighting. The first time you light your candle, let it burn for 3-4 hours to allow the melted wax to reach the edge of the container to prevent your candle from tunneling.

Do not place a burning candle near clothing, books, curtains or anything flammable. Place candle holders on a stable, heat-resistant surface that is sturdy and large enough to catch any melted wax. Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans and any air currents. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep or if the flame gets too close to the candle holder or container. A candle should not be burned for more than four hours at a time.

Our products are created in small sized batches to keep them fresh - if we are out of stock it could take 5-7 days for stock to be made, or 6 weeks if it is a cold process soap.

SERVICES EXPLAINED:

• We send our parcels out with PUDO, a division of Courier Guy, or PAXI, which is part of PEP.
• With both these companies we transport the parcels to either Preller Walk Courier Guy (a PUDO locker close to us) or to our closest PEP store.
• If we get the order to PUDO before 15:00 Monday - Thursday, and you are located in a main area (e.g. JHB/CPN), you should have it by the next day. However, courier to PE/Durban etc. will take 2-3 days. With PAXI it will take between 7-10 days to reach you - if you choose this service. 
  • We don't send out any parcels on a Friday with PUDO, as they do not deliver on a Saturday, and we prefer to not have your parcel in their depots waiting for Monday - we will rather take it to them on Monday. 

Once orders are placed, our Shopify system will send you a WhatsApp to confirm your order. Once we have fulfilled your order, you will receive an automatic email via our system. Charlene is responsible for packing and sending all orders out. She will in contact with you from the beginning to the end. You are also welcome to contact her on 084 3925 1365.

• Once order fulfillment is done, you will receive another email notification from the system - Charlene will also send you a WA to give you the PUDO Locker code and password, and PEP will send you a SMS - please look out for these. Charlene will also send you the PEP tracking number.

SURCHARGES:

• HIGH-RISK ZONES: These areas are considered unsafe for couriers to travel and a surcharge (over and above the shipping cost) is applied. An invoice will be sent prior to dispatch should you reside in a "high-risk" considered area. Please use this link to check - type the word "SURCHARGE" in the search box and scroll for your area. 
• OUTLYING AREAS: These are areas that fall outside of the main delivery centers. An additional surcharge of up to R250 may apply for outlying areas. An invoice will be sent to you for payment prior to dispatch.

HIGH-RISK ZONES/POLICE STATION DELIVERIES:

• Due to high rate theft and hijackings, some areas are deemed as "hotspots/high-risk-zones" by our courier partners, and will only be serviced to the local police station and you will be required to collect your order at the police station as opposed to getting a typical door-to-door delivery.
• If you reside in a high risk area, you will get a telephone call from the Courier ON THE DAY OF DELIVERY to arrange a police station pick up. Unfortunately we have no knowledge before hand, and therefore we do not have control over this. We apologize in advance for this inconvenience.
• Should you not be able to collect from the police station , please feel free to return the parcel to us - we will refund the value of the products, but not the cost of shipping or return.

If your order is urgent please let us know in the "leave us a note" section of your order. Parcels are normally delivered within 2-3 days of payment or slightly longer during holiday season or out of stock - we will contact you if this is the case.
